Gator Huntin'

Continuing my very behind blog posts......

While we were in Louisiana this past summer, we all went on a Gator Tour. It was SO much fun! This is definitely a MUST when we get back down there. AND if you ever make it to bayou country, I would strongly recommend this idea!

Right before we left there was this cat and gator having a "face off". I was worried that I was going to have to cover my children's eyes for feat that this gator was going to eat this sweety kitty.
HOWEVER, the more this cat hissed at the gator, the gator slowly started moving back into the water. Isn't that insane? The GATOR was AFRAID of the CAT!!! Hilarious!

LOVED our guide. True cajun through and through. He was knowledgeable and funny. When we would make stops where the gators were, he would go out on the ledge and feed them meat. The gators would jump up and he would drop it in to their mouths.

This gator was the biggest of them all....Almost 16 feet long!!!

Then we each took a turn holding baby alligator, Elvis.

Even Rylee was brave enough to do it!

The grasshoppers in these parts are HUGE!!!
COME VISIT, Y'ALL!!!
