The Finale

So we wanted our last day in Louisiana to be especially fun for our kids.  Karlee had this whole fun activity planned out and then it ended up raining!! (wah).  BUT, it did stop raining for a couple of hours, so we went out and scoped the driveway to see if we would still be able to our activity.  Chad helped tape the table clothes down, we had the kids get in to their swimsuits and had them come outside to see what we had in store!

JELLO PAINTING!!!
Oh goodness, this was SO much fun.  I think we are going to make another tradition out of this.  At first the kids just started off making hand prints and footprints with it, and drawing pictures.  Then we told them to start immersing themselves in it and it all got CrAzY from there...

Krew wanted NOTHING to do with the pudding.  He was being cautious and just wanted to stir the extra pudding while the others got messy.  You gotta love that kid.

Rylee asking me for a kiss...ya right!

Then Chad got out the hose and sprayed them all off.  They didn't like this part too much...the water was a little too cold for them.

After they were all cleaned off, we told them to go jump in the pool one last time.  It was such a great night!  The kids swam (Krew almost drowned and the 7 month pregnant woman was the fastest one to the pool)  Thank you!  Thank you!

We ordered pizza and ate it outside while the kids swam and let them swim until dark while it slightly sprinkled the rest of the night.  It was a great way to end our final day in Louisiana!!!

I  love this picture of Sophie for 2 reasons.
#1: When we got to my parents house, the only way she would jump in to the water was if she had on at LEAST 4 floating devices and by the end of the trip she had NONE!!!!
#2:  She looks as if she is walking on the water.  Too cool!

This was a BLAST and will DEFINITELY hold as a tradition at mom's! The kids will never forget this! Maybe Krew will live on the edge this year and try it out! I'm ready for summer to be here already!!! I love the fun summer memories at mom's with all the cousins! By the way, I'm EXTRA proud of Sophie's achievements to leave to floaties (ALL 20 OF THEM) behind and jump in without fears! Big step for that girl!
