When You Wish Upon A Star

Sorry this is a long post, but this is also a journal/scrapbook experience for me. So if you want to see what we did, go ahead and read, if not, you can just watch the video. Anyway, on October 4th we loaded the girls up at 3:30 AM and headed off to the airport. We arrived in Florida at 10:30 AM and loaded the Disney bus to our hotel. The girls have never been so excited in their entire lifetime. We decided to go to Animal Kingdom first and by the time we got there it was around 1:00 PM

While we were at Animal Kingdom.....
While we were there, we went on a Safari, saw a parade, met up with some Disney characters, saw a shortened version of the Lion King musical, went on a river rapid ride (surprisingly Sophie was tall enough for that!), saw a Bug's Life 3-D show which extremely scared our children, ate snacks and drank lots of water.
Then that night we met up with Chad's family at MGM-Studios to see the "Fantasmic" show. It's a nighttime show with lasers, lights, and dancing fountains, and all the Disney characters (good AND bad) that you could ever imagine. I think that show was one of my favorite parts of our trip. It always amazed Chad how Disney comes up with all these new ways to do things around their park. It really is fantastic.
Then we got back to our hotel around 10:30 PM and ate at the hotel. (Late dinner, I know, but we also had a late lunch).
I was afraid of how the food was going to be for the kids while we were there. I thought it was going to be chicken and french fries the whole time. But surprisingly enough they had such a variety.....spaghetti, pizza, PB&J, nuggets, turkey or ham sandwiches, applesauce, carrot sticks, salads, fruit bowls, milk, bottled water, and apple juice. It really was nice.

Friday we visited MAGIC KINGDOM......
We got up early and got to the park around 8:30 AM. The girls were the most excited for this one. They finally were able to see Cinderella's castle. We tried to make reservations for lunch with Cinderella but they were completly booked, obviously. Maybe next time. But we did eat lunch at Pinocchio's Village Haus.
Magic Kingdom definetly had the most stuff for us to do.....All the rides.....Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, it's a small world, Peter Pan's Flight, Snow White's Scary Adventures (which the girls HATED), Cinderella's Carrousel, Dumbo the flying elephant, adventures of winnie the pooh, mad tea party, goofy's roller coaster ride, and buzz lightyear. We also saw a Mickey 3-D show, stood out in the heat and humidy for at least 1 hour to meet Ariel, took a walk through Minnie's house, went to Monsters Inc. laugh floor where Mike Wazowski tries to get everyone to laugh to help fill the tank, then headed back to the Hall of Fame Tent and stood in line for only 20 minutes to meet Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Belle.
We were suppose to meet up with Chad's family for a firework show that night, but it was all ready 8:00 PM and we were all exhausted, so we went back to the hotel. The girls quickly zonked out. Chad's family came back to the hotel, because it kept raining, so we visited with them for a while before we all went to bed. It was really nice.

Saturday we visited MGM-Studio's.....
We didn't leave our hotel until around 11 AM because we were saying our good-byes to Chad's family. It was great to see them, and the girls were thrilled to finally see their Florida cousins!!
We went Animal Kingdom first to see the few things we didn't get to see, then we headed to MGM for lunch and to see the sights there. We ate at a restaraunt called "Hollywood Brown Derby". It was good and while we were there all these "Hollywood Stars" came through and talked to everyone. It was great.
Then we went and saw the Indiana Jones show, Muppet 3-D show, Mini-musical of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast live on stage, and stood in line to see lots of Disney characters.
That night we headed back to Magic Kingdom for the most popular nighttime parade and firework show. The parade didn't start until 8 PM, but when we got to the park at 6:30, there were all these people all ready sitting on the curb to save their spots for the parade. So, Sophie and I sat and saved our spot while Chad and Rylee went and got some glowing toys for the parade.
Then we came back to the hotel to finish the night off and watch LSU defeat Florida.

Sunday we visited Epcot.....
We visited Magic Kingdom that morning because the girls wanted to go back and go on some of the rides again. Then we went into the bathroom and put their princess attire on that we purchased while at Disneyworld, for our finale dinner with the princesses!! Chad was lucky to get reservations a couple of months ago for this dinner. Any dinner with any princess is always booked. The girls were so excited.
First they were able to take a picture with Belle, then the waitress took us to our seats, and while we were eating, 4 more princesses came and talked with the girls, took pictures, and signed their autograph books. They met Ariel again, Jasmine, Jane, and Cinderella too. They had a blast being all dressed up and talking (well mostly staring at) their favorite princesses. By the time we were finished it was pretty late, so we were really only able to go to the Nemo and Friends ride and then head on over to a show where the kids get to talk with Crush the turtle. This was one of our favorites too.

All in all we had a wonderful time and by Monday morning, even though we were all extremely tired, none of us wanted to go home. I want to thank Nicole and my Mom for the great advice and tips they sent me. It really helped make our trip wonderful. Thanks again.
