Southern Royalty

Everytime we go down to my parents house the girls ALWAYS get treated like royalty. They always have so much fun being there and there is always so much to do. They get so spoiled. When we get home and try to get them back on a schedule, we realize it's alot harder to train them back to their usual ways. But we never regret going back down south. We usually go to my parents house every 4th of July and stay for a couple of weeks. It's always a treat. Rylee helps Mimi set the table and empty the dishwasher...she loves doing those things. Too bad I haven't picked up on that back at home! Sophie got the opportunity to help Mimi cook dinner one night too. She loved it.

The girls swim everyday while we're there, except when it's raining. And it seems to do alot of that in Louisiana during the summer time. One day Karlee and Kent's niece, Sidney came over to keep the girls company. They had a blast swimming. Then my mom got the girls all together and they made play dough. Oh, I've never seen my girls more excited! They helped put in all the ingredients and stir it around. Their favorite part was picking out what colors they wanted the play dough to be. They had a blast.

Another thing we do while we're down visiting is to go down to New Orleans. It's changed alot, yes, but our favorite place to go when it's 150 degrees outside is to "The Aquariam of the America's". It is the girl's favorite part of the trip. Their favorite part is to go and see the sharks! Unbelievable, I know. And when we did finally get to the shark tank, Sophie was a bit scared. You'll see by the pictures. But funny enough, everytime we left the shark tank, she kept wanting to go back. You'll also see a picture of the girls standing inside a great white's jaw. Pretty scary, huh? Well the girls WERE a bit nervous. Also, this time we were able to see the Otter show. And the girls absolutely loved it. They fell in love with little Emma the Seal. She did tricks for everybody for about 20 minutes! It was too cute. When we left, that was all the girls could talk about.

Chad and I were also able to go and take the girls to see RATATOUILLE with my sister Kari and hubby Brandon. It is an adorable movie. Definetly one to see again and buy when it comes out to DVD. The girls loved it.

It's always a treat to go down south and visit Papa and Mimi. They always treat us so well and we are so greatful for their love and hospitality. We love and miss you guys. Thanks again for everything!
