Look Who's Two!

why does time go by so fast? each year when my children's birthday's come around, it is a very difficult thing for me sometimes. i just want them to stay little. i know i'll probably say this every year, but it's true, each year on charlie's birthday I look back and remember the tears that came down my face when i found out i was having a boy. it was honestly one of the hardest things for me to take in and i didn't want to believe it. it took me a long time to accept the fact that i was having a boy and that it would actually be fun. and then i smack myself and say, "what were you thinking!"



then i saw him in the hospital and nothing can compare to that moment. he had my heart. watching him grow has been one of the most amazing things. he brings out a side of me i never knew i had. it's so fun to play dinosaurs with him, or trains, puzzles, cars, or read the same 3 dinosaur books over and over to him. it's fascinating to me to see how he can get so excited when he sees a truck, bus, plane or train. i love to see him chase his sisters around and pretend to scare them like he's a dinosaur. or his excitement as i tell him we're going outside.



and although he is so extremely active and it can be a bit challenging at times, when he looks at me and grins, i just melt. i thank my Heavenly Father each and every day for this little blessing. happy 2nd birthday, charlie. we love you!
