Another Birthday.....

On January 9th, my sweet Rylee turned 8 years old. Where does the time go???? And now that this post is so far behind in being put up on the blog, I now have less than 6 months before she turns 9!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! It's killing me.

Rylee received her coveted American Girl doll this year. She was very excited as you can tell from the above picture. She named her Macey and it is the love of her life (at least for now).

Rylee also has a baby doll she received from a friend for her 7th birthday last year. Her name is Ella. Ella is now a part of our family and is just as alive as you and me (in Rylee's world). My mom got Ella a new dress for Rylee's birthday (at Rylee's request). She was very excited about it.

Thank you to everyone who helped make her birthday special this year. She is very excited to be

8 years old!

Things about Rylee......

  • She has an amazing love for animals. Horses, dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, hamsters, fish, worms, butterflies, cows, sheep, rolly pollies, snails, you name it. She thinks every animal is to die for cute! She asks for a pet almost everyday and I'm sure she won't give up until she gets one.

  • She is a super big helper. Since Chad has been gone for half the year, she has been my biggest blessing. She helps out by emptying the dishwasher, volunteering to bathe Charlie, is constantly keeping her room picked up. She is amazing!

  • She is a great piano player and has a huge love for music. Rylee started piano in 1st grade and has excelled quickly. Although at times it's hard to practice, she has thorougly enjoyed learning and loves her piano teacher. She loves to sing and dance too. She has recently volunteered to sing in one of our sacrament meetings at church.

  • Her favorite food right now is anything with sugar. =)

  • Her favorite color is pink.

  • Her favorite thing to do is draw and use her imagination.

  • Her favorite movie is The Sound of Music.

  • She loves her friends and has many of them. Every time we are at a school function, kids are always coming up to me (boys and girls), asking me, "Where's Rylee?" or "Have you seen Rylee?"

  • She LOVES her daddy. She is definitely a daddy's girl. She's always wanting to sit by him and run errands with him. It's quite adorable.

  • Rylee has always had a strong desire to always do what is right. If she has ever disappointed us or anyone in anyway, it breaks her heart. She is always reminding us to have prayer and read scriptures and strives to do her very best in everything that she does.

WE LOVE YOU RYLEE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
