A few years ago, we started this tradition to have a bonfire in my parents backyard when we come home for Christmas. The kids LOVE this and always look forward to going out and seeing how big the fire can get.
This year, because of how wet it had been, the fire didn't last too long. The kids were trying to find everything they could to throw in to the fire, to help make it last longer. Right when we thought the fire was large enough, it would slowly start to go back out.
Charlie and Boston thought it would be fun to wrestle each other while waiting for the fire to get big enough to roast marshmallows.
We soon asked them to stop, because we didn't need anyone falling in to the fire. These boys crack me up!
We finally decided to make the best of the situation and roast as many marshmallows as we could before the fire went out.
Yummy S'mores!
Had to hurry a snap a picture of the fire at its peak

What would life be like without cousins/family. Love this tradition. It will be so lonely this year without y'all.....if you decide to change your mind....;) The kids all look so much older now too. Crazy how much they change in a year!
