Blessing

The first of November, we had my parents and Chad's parents come out for a visit and to be with us to give our sweet baby boy a blessing.  It was gorgeous weather, so Saturday we picked up some food took everyone to one of our favorite parks.  The kids had a blast showing their grandparents their scooters and bike and they even sported their LSU gear.

We came home from the park, and the kids wanted to play outside in the leaves.  One of their MOST favorite things to do.

There was a pretty BIG game on Saturday night (November 5th).  LSU was playing Alabama.  Now, normally Chad and I have our game faces on all by ourselves during football season, but it was so nice to be able to have family there to cheer along with us.

Here is Landry sporting his "tiger" gear in support of LSU and laying on the softest blanket I have ever touched, made my his sweet Grandma Withers!

Showing their support for the Tigers!  Usually every football game, we fix a yummy southern meal.  On this particular night, we made some gumbo!  It's one of our kiddos favorites!

Sunday, November 6th, our sweet baby Landry was given a name and blessings.  I always love this time in a baby's life.  There is just something so precious about a baby dressed in white.

And then, of course, you have to do take pictures afterwards.  My children were a little more than hyper after church.  I think they were just ready to get home and eat!  11:00 church meetings are very difficult.

Grandpa's Birthday is  on November 6th.  We were so lucky to able to celebrate with him, because we have missed a lot of birthdays with us being so far away!

While we had everyone in town, Sophie had a project due in school.  The students each picked a country to do research on and then present to the class.  She choose Japan.  She was actually very intrigued by the country and things that she learned about it.  She retains information SO well, and did great when she presented it to her class!  So proud of you Sophie!
