Sophie's 6th Birthday Party

Our adorable and spunky Sophie turned 6 years old on December 14th, 2010. She was overly excited about EVERYTHING. Especially since her birthday is the last one of the year. Each year she helps celebrates every one's birthdays with love and patience and then kindly tells me all the details of her next birthday party (several months in advance). She must get that gene from her mother. ;)

Sophie has wanted a particular gift for a very, VERY long time. And so when she opened this gift from her Dad and Mom, she was SO excited, she played for DAYS!!!!!!

That weekend we held a small friends party. She wanted to do a Webkinz party after seeing one of dear friends, the Knowlton's, do one for their daughter. It was so fun to plan and she had a blast.

I made party hats for all the Webkinz that were invited to the party. We had a lot of fun games in store for the kids when they arrived. One of them was (you can kind of see in the background), was Operation Gumball where all the kids had to guess how many gumballs were in the jar and the closest person to the actual number got to take the jar home!

Here is the Kinz Cash that a made that was handed out to the kiddos as they won games.

We also played a game called Lilly Padz. I made Lilly Padz from felt and ironed on the symbol and how much each "pad" was worth. Then they had to toss the frog (yes Rylee colored on the dear frog to make it look like it had make-up) to a Lilly Pad in hopes of winning some big cash!

Here is Sophie's Wheel of Wow cake!

We of course had to have a Wheel of Wow!

And while the kids played games the Webkinz had a little party of their own.

The last game we played was Candy Bash. Each child got to wear the sombrero and Chad tossed candy in the air and they had to try to catch as much candy in their sombrero as they possibly could. Most of them just stood there and the candy fall where it may. =)

At the end, each child took a turn at the "W Shop" and got to purchase items with their Kinz Cash that they had earned during the party.

The party was a success!
