Act of Kindness

Today, Rylee's school had their first assembly to acknowledge students in different categories.....

Kindness

Achievement

Effort

Leadership

Each teacher from each grade level chooses a few students from their class who they think fits each category.

Rylee got an award today for "Acts of Kindness". We are so proud of her. She really is a very kind person and loves to be friends with everybody.
The other day she was telling us how some kids in her class aren't very nice to the other children. We explained to her how important it is to be nice to everybody no matter what.
She quickly rolled her eyes at us and said, "I KNOW! I AM ALWAYS NICE GUYS." She then continued to tell us, "You should always be nice no matter how little or how big, no matter how short or how tall, you should be nice to everyone, and I am."
Well, there ya go......We are proud of you Rylee. Being kind to others is a very important thing and people will always remember you for that. We love you, sweetie!

Here is Rylee with her kindness award and her friend Anna who received an achievement award. Way to go girls!

Way to go Rylee! That is awesome! Madden won the award "most helpful" at his school. But i'm fairly sure what that award REALLY meant...was "Most bossy/incharge/thinks he's the actual teacher" award!! ;)-
Come visit already!

FIRST OF ALL....LOVE THE SOCKS!!!!! Sad that that's my first comment when rylee achieves such an award! But CONGRATS to her! She such a sweet little girl I don't doubt that she deserves that! I LOVE when you quoted her...you should do that more! Now if only you could somehow get her to apply this to Sophie 24/7...maybe the teasing would stop..?
